My story

Arsenal Football Club has teamed up with Save the Children as the Club's first ever global charity partner.

Arsenal is supporting Save the Children on a range of education projects in the UK and overseas, helping the poorest children get a better start in life and giving them the chance to grow and fulfil their potential.

Through this work, the Club will help Save the Children towards its vision of transforming the lives of over three million children a year through education by 2013.

Arsenal will be supporting two education programmes in the UK - Families and Schools Together (FAST) and Eat, Sleep, Learn, Play! (ESLP).

FAST helps increase parents’ engagement in their children’s education by encouraging them to perform everyday tasks and develop their skills together. With the support of Arsenal in the Community, the Club will help to set up three new FAST groups in North London.

ESLP is a programme that assists children living in the most desperate need by providing  household essentials like a child's bed, a family cooker or educational books and toys.

Throughout the partnership, familiar fundraising activities such as the Club’s dedicated matchday and ‘Be a Gunner. Be a Runner’ will return alongside additional activities supporting community work in the UK and overseas.  The Club will also continue to back Save the Children’s disaster relief work, having made donations to the Japan Appeal and more recently, the charity’s East Africa Appeal to support thousands of children facing starvation.
