I've had this beard for a little over 20 years without a break. My dear, dear daughter Chrissy (11) has been badgering me for some time. 'I want to see what you look like without it, Dad. Why don't you shave it off for a while?'

I don't much want to do this, so - time for a Sponsored Beardless Period. For 2 weeks, starting Saturday July 4th, I'll wield the dreaded instrument. Encourage me by making a small donation to Special Effect's Game For Helen, the Cry Havoc charity for 2009.
