Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. You may have been redirected to this page via www.beaujolaisrun.com This fundraising page is designed to fundraise through registrations for the 2008 event and press enquiries. It is important to note that this page does not reflect the tens of thousands of pounds the event will produce for the charities. In addition to this page, all event participants carry sponsored advertising space on their vehicles and supporting corporates make donations to enter vehicles into the event. In 1976 the gauntlet was first thrown down to Fleet Street to bring back the first bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau. The challenge caught the imaginations of car and wine enthusiasts alike. The object then was speed. The event has evolved and it is now a distance trial, for safety, but also to avoid reputational risk for sponsors. All driver and navigator teams will complete a series of cryptic checkpoints in an attempt to acheive the shortest possible distance on their route to Macon. As organisers of this now trademarked event we will be inviting 50 unique competitor vehicles; to compete to 'Bring Back the Beaujolais ' after it's launch in deepest Burgundy at midnight on Wednesday 19th November 2008 The event lays an even playing field for everything from Jensen to Jaguar.Hackett Beaujolais Run (HBR) 2008 is a series of all new money can't buy experiences. In true Beaujolais style, full details of the 2008 event will unfold throughout the coming months. Registrations for the 2008 event are now being considered. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Winston's Wish (one of the benefitting charities for HBR 2008) will receive your money faster and if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please dig deep and help us raise the maximum amount we can for a very worthwhile cause. 100% of all sponsorship monies raised go directly and in totality to the event's nominated charities (which change annually). Many thanks for your support. We look forward to welcoming even more of you aboard HBR 2008. If you would like to register your interest for this year's event; whether you be a privateer, a corporate or a media entry please first make a minimum donation of £10. On receipt you will automatically receive the 2008 registration email address. Many thanks for your continued interest and support. Please keep an eye out for further details of this year's special event via our website which will be updated regularly and via local and national press.
