My friend Emma and I are doing the London Triathlon in August. In previous years we have done it in a team, but this year we are being brave (?stupid) and doing the individual event, which means we'll be swimming (in the Thames), cycling and running. Anyone who has seen me run before will know what a challenge this is for me! But we are doing this for a great cause. My cousin Lucy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer a few months ago. She will be 3 in August and is currently undergoing a tough course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We are raising money for the Candlelighters Trust which supports the Children's Cancer Unit at St James' Hospital in Leeds where Lucy is being treated.
