Well we've done it! I've never been on a such an emotional rollercoaster in my life, or felt exhaustion like it, but we did it. Feb 27th saw the descent of that massive mountain, and here we all are back in blighty. It was the best adventure ever!!!
I will be keeping my justgiving page open for the next month or so, so please, if you feel like digging deep again now that we have completed our challenge, I and the Big Issue would be most grateful!
The Big Issue set up in Kenya in Jan 2007 and is sold by vendors recruited from youth groups in city slums. These are people who are jobless and are looking for an opportunity to earn an income. No matter what country the Big Issue is based in, it works on the same principles. The Big Issue offers hope and the means to move away from begging, crime and ultimately street life. It helps vendors move their lives forward by gaining the skills and confidence to get into work. It helps to create employment and alleviate poverty.
