My story

Hello people

The nice people at justgiving.com have allowed me to keep this page open so I can continued to be sponsored on behalf of Breast Cancer Care.  In April 2007 I (slowly) completed the London Marathon and, incredibly, a load of strangers stumbled upon my website and donated money.  Along with family and friends around £2400 was raised, which I thought was pretty damn ace.

On 30 September 2007 I will be doing the Great North Run in Newcastle.  Survival was the key word for the London Marathon but I'm going to aim to do this one in a half decent time.  However, I always say that then do bugger all training.

I am again raising money for Breast Cancer Care.  My Mum was orginially diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2005 and has actually started a second course of chemotherapy this week.  How her and my Dad remain as upbeat as they do is rather beyond me, so the least I can do is stumble around a course and try and raise some cash.

Cheers!

John

P.S.  In usual fashion I have left getting a hotel a bit late.  Any nice person in Newcastle want to put me up for the night before?!
