Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Well, I did it! On 6th July, I ran the British 10k London Run to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund in memory of my mother who passed away on 20th February this year, just two weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As this was my first attempt at a 10k run I wasn't out to set any 'personal best' or run at any particular speed, I was just aiming to finish, which I did in 1 hour and 12 minutes, far exceeding my expectations! Although it was hard work, I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite being left with a couple of rather large blisters on both feet and a bruised big toe. This justgiving page doesn't close until 6th September 08 so if you would like to make a donation, it will be gratefully received. All money raised will go towards promoting and supporting research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer, which has the lowest survival rate of all cancers. Please visit the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund's website www.pcrf.org.uk for more information. I would just like to say a big thanks too to Mick and Dave for running with me (though this was a walk in the park for them!) and for giving me lots of encouragement all the way! Thank you Belinda x Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (www.pcrf.org.uk) who will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
