Hello Folks
Most of you who know me well enough know I am not a big fan of physical exertion. Well the time has come to do some exercise and I figured I may as well raise some money at the same time, with that in mind I entered myself into a cycle ride from London to Cannes. The plan is to ride 1500km; in old money, a bloody long way, in 6 days with a team of other riders whilst raising money for a number of charities.
The charities are, in no particular order, Article 25, The Tom ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust, The Sarah Matheson Trust, Land Aid and The Duke of Edindurgh's Award; good charities all of them. If you want further information on what any of them do use google!
I will have a website (sorting out layouts and things at the moment) www.benjaminmurdoch.com with a blog and all that stuff to keep you up to date with all the training during the cold, wet, miserable winter months; and ultimately with the progress of the ride.
Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I understand that times are hard but please be as generous as you can. Remember if you are self-employed or run a business all charitable donations are tax deductable, so you can give more!! Corporate sponsorships are also available, please contact me for more details - benjamin.murdoch@gmail.com
Thank you in advance
Ben
