Some of you will know my dad as a very hairy Yorkshireman and many of you will also know what a keen cyclist he was.
He always did his bit for charity, mainly on his bike, riding through France or taking part in the London to Brighton... the last few times on his beloved trike!
Sadly, he passed away last year after a courageous fight against "the bastard" (or cancer, as the doctors referred to it), so I've taken it upon myself to complete the ride for him this year.
Dad always liked to split the money he raised between Cancer Research and the British Heart Foundation, so I will do the same... This page is for BHF, if you would prefer to contribute to Cancer Research, please use this link http://www.justgiving.com/ben-varley2/
As little as you can spare would mean a great deal to the charities, so please help if you can, it is very much appreciated and will certainly help me get over Ditchling Beacon!
Now the boring bit...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks very much everyone!
