The full majesty of the law was once again seen on the waters of the River Thames, yesterday, competing in the 21GreatRiver Race: 22 miles from Ham to Greenwich.

We entered two boats, the John Disley and the Royal Dolphin, and both boats managed the race without overturning (there was some very rough going through the Poolof London) and without disgracing ourselves in our classes!  The full results will be available very soon and we will post them here.

We received  a welcome donation towards boat costs from Russell-Cooke Solicitors of Kingston, wore our bright green team kit kindly provided by HMCS and rowed under flags from HMCS and the Magistrates Association.

Thanks to the generosity of you, our supporters, we have become a significant sponsor of Xpression, a Kingston Mencap youth project that provides a safe, comfortable space where young people with a learning disability can meet friends, engage in a range of fun activities and gain life skills.  The club meets every week during term time and offers a wide choice of activities for young people aged 12 to 18, including cooking, football, bowling, swimming, painting, sculpting, live bands, dancing and drama and theatre trips.  To date we have raised over £12,000.  Xpression is a registered charity (number 210583).

And if you can find a little more cash for us, we will hopefully make that figure much much bigger.
