+++++++++++
On Friday 13th May...yes Friday 13th the "Ben Nevis Trio" that is Hollie Costigan, Andy Costigan and Anthony Beer will be walking up all 4,406 feet of Ben Nevis in Scotland to raise money for Leukaemia Research Fund. Leukaemia Research Fund is the only national research charity devoted exclusively to Leukaemia and other related blood disorders that affect children and adults. See www.lrf.org.uk. It's a very worthy cause something which is close to the three of us as we all know of people who are or have suffered with Leukaemia. And so we thought what better tribute than climbing the highest mountain in the UK! It's thought that the name Ben Nevis means "poisonous or terrible" in Irish / Gaelic and although not as high as Alpine mountains, it's position, means the climate can be similar to Arctic regions and even in May the top will probably be covered in snow! So far excluding any money we raise via this site we have had approximately £1500.00 pledged for LRF so it would be great if we could keep this figure rising and smash the £2000.00 mark... Please donate as much or as little as you can, all are very welcome and when you donate via this site it's fast and easy and importantly completely secure with ALL the donations going directly to Leukaemia Research Fund. Plus if you are a UK taxpayer LRF will receive an extra 28% at no extra cost to you! Thanks for all your donations and we'll let you know how we get on... Hollie, Andy & Anthony.
