Am 4. Januar 2012 startet meine Reise nach Luxor, Ägypten. Dort werde ich 2 Monate lang in der Tierklinik der Hilfsorganisation ACE "Animal Care in Egypt" arbeiten. Um dieses großartige Projekt nicht nur mit meiner Arbeitskraft, sondern auch mit Geld und Medikamenten unterstützen, bitte ich um eure Hilfe.

ACE ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation unter der Leitung von Kim Taylor. In der Klinik werden täglich hunderte verletzte und kranke Tiere versorgt. Ein Großteil dieser Tiere sind Arbeits- und Nutztiere, vor allem Esel und Pferde, von denen häufig das Einkommen der Besitzer abhängt. So schafft es ACE nicht nur den Tieren, sondern auch den Menschen Hilfe zu leisten.

ACE arbeitet nachhaltig. Sie bieten die Möglichkeit die Tiere zu pflegen und bieten Fortbildungen für Besitzer und Vorträge in Schulen an um den Menschen den richtigen Umgang mit den Tieren zu lehren und Krankeiten präventiv zu vermeiden.

Die Organisation besteht seit 1998 und ist seit dem Jahr 2000 als Hilfsorganisation in Großbritannien registriert.

On January, the 4th 2012 I'll travel to Luxor, Egypt to volunteer in the clinic of the animal-welfare-charity ACE "Animal Care in Egypt", which was registered as an official UK charity in the year 2000.

ACE provides veterinary treatment as well as preventive and maintenance facilities. They also have education programmes for owners and kids to teach them how to keep their animals healthy and treat them right.

As most of the treated animals are working horses and donkeys, the treatment means not only help for the animal, but also for the people, as their living often depends on the work of their donkey or horse.
