Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! For those of you that don't know (bear with us those of you that do), on Saturday 21st June 2008, we will be participating in an event called the national three peaks challenge. The national three peaks challenge involves climbing the 3 highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in a 24 hour period. Participants (with the exception of our driver) face a total of 26 gruelling miles of walking at a verticle climb of around 3000 metres, not to mention an approximate drive of 475 miles between peaks (Jason G's job!). To put it simply, it is going to be tough and each of us are training hard to help us achieve our goal. There is a very good reason why we have chosen to participate in this event and it is not because we are all mad (though it is a contributing factor!) The reason we are taking up the challenge is The Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust. The Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust, through it's house called Treetops, provides respite and end of life care for children with life threatening illness between the ages of 0-19. Fundraising is central to the existence of The Donna Louise Trust who, as a charity, rely solely on the generosity and goodwill of the general public for funding. To find out more about the Donna Louise Trust and the brilliant work they do please visit their website at www.donnalouisetrust.org. Please, please support us in our challenge. Click on the 'sponsor us now' button and give as generously as you can. Your support will be what spurs us all on. Thank you for your support.
