Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 11 October 2009 I'll be running the Royal Parks half marathon in London. This is my second half marathon and like last year I am raising funds for the Raynauds and Scleroderma Association, a charity that provides funding for research and welfare support and advice to people with these diseases across the UK. One of the people is my mother. Over the past couple of years the help she's received from this charity has really benefited her, my dad and the rest of the family too.
You can find out more about the organisation here: www.raynauds.org.uk
Lots of you were very generous when I ran the Great Eastern Run last year, almost a year to the day of the Royal Parks run that I'll soon be doing. I've been training hard and hope to run the 13.1 miles race faster than last year. On the day, there'll be lots of crowd support, including my parents who were unable to travel to Peterborough to cheer me on last year but who will be in London - fingers crossed - next weekend :) As well as the crowd support and the gorgeous autumnal surroundings, the other thing that will ease the inevitable pain that will come in that 2 hours or so will be to know that I'm once again raising funds for the Raynauds and Scleroderma Association! Please give what you can. Every pound will be appreciated and will go towards easing the pain of those with these debilitating and life-limiting diseases.
Thank you!
Bethan
