Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am running the half marathon to raise money for Heartlink who are the registered charity connected to Glenfield hospital in Leicester.
My daughter, Bethany, was born in Nottingham 28/01/09 with a severe case of meconium aspiration syndrome and we were told to expect the worse. They could only stabalise her so she was transferred to Glenfield for ECMO treatment. Fortunately, she picked up and started to improve as soon as she was in the hands of the staff at Leicester. They were all amazing and gave us hope. She continued to improve and within a few days she was back in Nottingham and tube free.
Bethany is now a perfectly healthy baby girl and we are eternally grateful to all the nurses for their amazing work, hence why I want to raise money to help them continue working miracles.
