London to Paris or bust………… ! Why do it? London and Paris are two of my favourite cities - what a great excuse to cycle their wonderful streets! I like a challenge and having stopped smoking and started cycling wanted something to aim at so what better way to give something back and enjoy it at the same time. And talking of challenges… My Auntie- Sybil Wilson is my inspiration for this trip. My role model for living life as fully as possible, I love her because she makes me love life. Apart from inspiring me to ride horses, swim, drive, and travel (she’s been to more places however). She has also been on a trip with the Jubilee Sailing Trust and together with great mate Julie became a member of crew of the Lord Nelson. One of the challenges was to be winched up to the crow’s nest in a wheelchair! A challenge too far for me! Sybil does have some challenges physically, only one leg (authentic look for a tall ship) and Spina Bifida but the real challenge for Julie was when she took on the persona of Captain Bligh! If Sybil can she does, she is unstoppable! I believe that we all need a challenge and even a bit of danger in our lives (if we choose). The Jubilee Trusts brings people together of all abilities who get to know each other better, breaking down barriers that can exist between the so called able bodied and disabled and working together. I want to ensure this continues by supporting them with my own challenge. Want to know more www.jst.org.uk Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Jubilee Sailing Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. I AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL DONATIONS!I was a bit worried because some of the amounts donated online are big and this is because when my sister died my Aunt donated the money she got back from paying my sisters driving lessons (she was due to start the week after she died) was donated to the Jubilee, as well as the funeral memorial fund (£255.00) (and it feels like Jack's last present to me in a way) so to let anyone know, I'm grateful however big or small! So please sponsor me now!
