One week to go before the big day!
I've put in lots of training (until the last few weeks when I've suffered a few set backs).
I will be running the marathon in honour of my dad who was a huge inspiration to me and got me hooked on running from an early age (I have a stash of kids fun run certificates at home).
Max Hollis was an active sportsman, who despite losing his leg in a bad motorbike accident in 1981, was determined to continue to enjoy sport and all the benefits that come with it. Every day he would either run, cycle, canoe or sail. He was proof that you can achieve your dreams and make the most of what you've got, no matter what life throws at you.
Whilst Head of English at Worcester college for the blind he taught blind students to row. He firmly believed that sport should be accessible to everyone and that it's a great therapy for the mind, body and soul.
Please sponsor me and help other's to be inspired, enjoy sport, get fit and healthy and achieve their potential.
Thanks,
Bianca.
