My story

 

We are now back from our epic ride over the Pyreneean mountains between Biarritz and Barcelona. We had all expected the journey to be tough but none of us was quite prepared for the sheer magnitude of the task ahead of us - freezing temperatures, driving rain, snow drifts and eight cols including one unexpected 23km climb and, of course, the renowned 'beast' that is the Col de Tourmalet.

Well we did it and and every one of the team completed the challenge, many pushing themselves right to their physical limits. We were supported quite brilliantly by our team of drivers and we had a marvellous reception from families and friends when we arrived in Barcelona.

We have beaten our initial target of £50,000 for the Children's Trust in Tadworth, however we aim to improve on that significantly with the ongoing generosity and pledges we have had from our supporters.
