Hi there.
Thanks very much indeed for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 14 and 15 August 2010, Stephen Johns, Richard Lawrence, Robert Gair and I cycled 91 miles from Worcester Park London to the Bargate in Southampton. To take a look at the route that we took, click here. A blow by blow account can also be found on Twitter here. It took us 8 hours during which we climbed more than 1000m. Who said Southern England was flat? It isn't but it is incredibly beautiful when seen from a saddle. The roads we followed were quiet. We were passed by no more than 50 cars the whole way.
We cycled to Southampton to raise as much money as possible for Bliss, the charity for babies born too soon, too small, too sick.
As parents, who still have vivid memories of the very special time that came with the birth of our own children (all 9 of them), the four of us would like all babies to have the same chance at a healthy life. Bliss does some excellent work to help achieve that so we're asking you to give as much as you can to support them. It's not too late to do so. This page will be open for a while.
I'm extremely proud also to be a trustee of Bliss. To find out more about its work, click on the links to the left of this page. Better still, if you have just two minutes and want to see where your money goes, why not watch one of two videos about specific Bliss projects.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Bliss and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, while saving time and cutting costs for Bliss.
So please dig deep and donate now. Many many thanks in advance for your support.
Best wishes
Andrew Hobbs
