Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On 12 July I am, along with around 200 other competitors, taking part in the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon. Unfortunately my partner for the event, Luke Rodwell, is injured and has had to restrict himself to support team duties. I am joining with one of Luke's colleagues, Scott Black and his partner Karl for the event. In the photo, taken at the end of the Rob Roy Challenge a couple of years ago, Scott is far left and Luke is second from right.
The event involves a 1.5k swim across Loch Tay, a 24k hill run over 7 Munros starting with Ben Lawers, an 11k kayak down Loch Tay and a 54k cycle around Loch Tay and finishes with......slicing a melon in half! All this should take us around 12-13 hours. If you want to find out more go to www.artemisgreatkindrochit.com
Why on earth am I doing this? Well apart from the personal challenge involved it's a great event for a great charity which can really make a difference to peoples lives and I would be really grateful if you could sponsor me to raise funds for Mercy Corps. The thought that you havecommitted sponsorship will help me get through those dark moments in endurance events like this when you are exhausted (and usually in pain, cold, hungry and wet as well!)....sounds really appealling doesn't it??
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mercy Corps Scotland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
