Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Every 2 hours, someone in the UK sustains a spinal cord injury. Their world – and that of their family – is turned upside-down. SIA aim to reach everyone affected by spinal cord injury, to connect them to all the help and support they need to life a fulfilled life.

Story

I enjoyed the Loch Ness marathon in 2007 so much I'm running in the London Marathon 2009.

I'm aiming for a time of 4 hours, but to make it more interesting I appear not to be doing any training apart from one run each weekend.

I'm running with a team from Credit Suisse - this is my personal sponsorship page and we have a team page here.

My overall sponsorship target is £1,500 for the Spinal Injuries Association.  If I raise £500 then Credit Suisse will double it, so I'm aiming for £500 of personal sponsorship, £500 through my colleagues, and £500 from Credit Suisse.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Spinal Injuries Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Please sponsor me now, and please come and cheer me on on the day if you're in London.  Hopefully I won't look quite like I look in the picture above.
