We did it!
On Sunday November 19th my mother and I walked the 10KM Mouth Cancer Awareness Walk at Hyde Park. Between us we have raised around £1,300 for the Mouth Cancer Foundation and there's still more coming in. If you would like to donate you can do it here! My grandmother was diagnosed with advanced mouth cancer in August 2006 and I am doing this walk to help raise awareness about mouth cancer, which can be successfully treated if caught early.
My gramdmother died on 2nd September - it all happened so quickly.

Update 31 August 2006
£80 raised so far, and my mother has £350 on her page - over half way to her target. Thanks so much to everyone who has dontated so far.
My grandmother was moved to the hospice today. It's a much better place for her than the hospital and they are able to manage her pain more effectively.
Update 2 September 2006
My grandmother died peacefully this morning. My Mum and Uncle spent the night with her, and my Auntie was also with them when she went. We are glad that she is out of pain at last, but we shocked at how quickly everything happened.

My grandmother's funeral was on Tuesday 12th September. It was difficult waiting for the day to come but we had our friends around us, which helped. Thanks everyone who's donated so far. I now have £175 raised and my mother has £630. We'd love to get to £1,000 between us before the walk.

The walk is nearly here! We'll be taking photos along the way and will post them next week. Between us my mother and I have raised over £1000! Thanks to everyone who has donated - it's been amazing.
