Bloodbikes are an emergency hospital courier service that are a registered charity and rely solely on volunteers and fund raising. In May 2011, Matt Burke and his brother Dan will be joining Mike Burns who is cycling over 1,200 miles from Newcastle to Plymouth, visiting all 24 Blood Centres nationwide, zig-zagging the country and crossing the Pennines three times. Matt Burke, who works at City Financial Bath, is looking forward to facing a challenge of this proportion and hopes that the efforts of all the cyclists will spread greater awareness of the services that Bloodbikes provides and to help raise enough money to buy a brand new Motorcycle for Bloodbikes: www.bloodbikes.co.uk
