Story
2013 - the year for trying new things and taking risks. What better way to enforce that resolution then doing something completely out of my comfort zone - running the London Marathon. Previous experience: occasionally running for public transport.
Why do something so extreme? I was inspired to follow in the footsteps (well tyre tracks) of my courageous Carluccio's colleagues who cycled from Glasgow to London last year for this amazing charity: Action Against Hunger, which is trying to eradicate child malnutrition around the world. We have seen the profound positive effects our support can have, helping children overcome malnutrition and go on to lead happy healthy lives. So far, we have raised over £875,000 as a company for this charity and I would love to personally get involved to increase this total. What better incentive is there than that?
I have heard a rumour that even the incredible Olympic Gold Medallist, Mo Farah will only be completing half of the London Marathon this year (yikes!). With that in mind, I am currently tying my Nike Icarus' and getting ready to run (not too close to the sun!)
So please dig deep and help me reach my target of £2000!
