Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice provides support to children in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire with life limiting conditions, which means the child is not expected to live into adulthood. Our hospice is a relaxed and happy place where families can take a break, have fun and get help with the care they need. We also assist children and their families in their own homes. Our support includes ongoing medical respite care for the poorly child, practical and emotional support for family members, sibling and bereavement support and end of life care.
It costs £2.5 million annually to provide this service, and with no statutory government funding, fundraising and public support is vital to our success.
