Update 27 April. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dave and I will be driving my 23 year-old Toyota, with 170,000 miles on the clock, from Namur in Belgium through Germany, Switzerland and Italy to finish at Monte Carlo after three days and some 1,000 miles.

It is not a race but the organisers will set daily challenges for us to perform en route and we see this adventure as a way to raise a little money for our chosen charities. Your contribution however small is much appreciated. Belle France (holidays) are kindly supporting us and have arranged our channel ferry crossings.

We are looking forward to seeing the Schlumf Bugatti collection at Mulhouse, driving the St Gothard Pass to Lake Como and visiting the F1 racing circuit at Monza.

The car was shown to the public with 'General Lee' and advertising stickers at Mangerton Mill Open Day on 26 April. We raised another £150 towards our target - thanks to all who donated or bought raffle tickets.

Our fancy dress themes have now been issued. Day 1: Pirates. Day 2: Dukes of Dorset. Day 3: Roman Togas. Day 4: Red and White!
