Please support me and make a small donation i am running the London Marathon on behalf of the Hornsey YMCA.

For those of you that don't know me,

I’m Bob a 48-year-old London taxi driver, from Hornsey, North London. Some of you will know me from the gym at Hornsey YMCA, where I train several times a week.  Last year I fulfilled a long time ambition of running the London Marathon and I will be running the London Marathon again this year.

As a resident of Hornsey, I am deeply passionate about supporting an organisation that is truly at the heart and soul of the local community.

Hornsey YMCA has been serving the local community since 1929.

Hornsey YMCA provides a range of services which include a direct access hostel, children’s activity centre, out of school childcare programme, various youth projects, drug and alcohol prevention projects and a unique baby nursery providing nursery care for teenage parents still at school or college. All these services are undertaken on a shoestring budget and rely on generous support from the local residents. Last year's fundraising efforts eventually ensured that I beat my £1200 target. This money has helped towards funding the services outlined above.  Should you wish to make a donation then I would like to say a big thank you.

Your continued support is greatly appreciated!
Bob

"
A longstanding member of Hornsey YMCA, Bob is an inspiration to others, demonstrating just what can be achieved through a commitment to get fit.  A big thank you for his fundraising efforts last year, they really make a positive contribution to the work of the YMCA and young people's lives.  Best wishes with your training for 2010"

Jim Shepley
Programme Director
Hornsey YMCA
