Welcome to my 'Running For Farm Crisis Network' JustGiving page.
On the 4th October 2009, I will be attempting to run the Loch Ness Marathon, raising money for Farm Crisis Network.
For those who might have noticed, we've only just made this page, as in 3 weeks time, its the big event!
Why the Loch Ness Marathon?
I will be running the marathon with my son (Tom Blanden, who is raising money for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund) as a father and son achievement, one of our '10 joint challenges' and decided on a marathon most people don't normally do.
Why run for Farm Crisis Network?
I had the pleasure to meet Sarah Brown, their chief executive, at the Royal Show this year, and I pledged to raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause.
A little about the Farm Crisis Network
FCN is a UK network of groups of volunteers drawn from the farming community and rural churches which support farming people during periods of anxiety, stress and problems relating to both the farming household and the farming business.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Farm Crisis Network and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - Helping me raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for Farm Crisis Network.
I'd be most grateful if you feel you can sponsor me. Every donation, no matter how small, will help a worthy cause.
Thank you for visiting my page!
