My story
“Growing Pains”, Sports Injury
or Bone Cancer?
Primary Bone Cancer occurs most commonly in children, teenagers and young adults
The two most common bone cancers are osteosarcoma and Ewing’s sarcoma
Common symptoms include pain & swelling around the affected area and problems with movement
Diagnosis of bone cancer is often delayed as medical professionals attribute symptoms to “growing pains” or a sports injury
Bone cancer can often be diagnosed with a simple X-ray
Help us to improve outcomes for the 400 young people diagnosed with bone cancer each year in the UK and Ireland by making a donation towards our work during Bone Cancer Awareness Week. To find out more about our work, please visit our website
