Royal Parks Half Marathon 2008 · 12 October 2008 ·

The Trust raises funds in memory of Ciaran, who suffered from a genetic skin disorder called Keratitis-Ichthyosis-Deafness Syndrome (“KID syndrome”). The Trust aims to help people with similar conditions, as well as supporting research and promoting awareness about the difficulties of living with the multiple disabilities of blindness, deafness and skin disorders.

Story

Hi all,

I am running two half marathons in the next week - the "Run to the Beat" on 05 October, and "The Royal Parks Half Marathon" on 12 October.

I am not claiming that running two half marathons is the same as running one whole marathon, but given the lack of training that I have been able to do over the "summer", the two races should still prove enough of a challenge for me and my dodgy knees.

I would be most grateful if you could spare a little cash and donate some money to the Ciaran Buckley Trust. There's no point having your money in a savings account at the moment, so see this as the perfect opportunity to make your money make a difference for others.

Hopefully, with your support I can reach at least 0.1% of my rather ambitious fundraising target!

Thanks,

Mark.
