Wishes 4 Kids was officially launched in September 2002 with the object of granting a 'wish' for Leicestershire children of eighteen years and below who are life-limited, terminally ill, have suffered severe mental / physical / emotional trauma, those who have been abused and children diagnosed as HIV positive.
Since the launch of the Charity it has granted over 300 children's wishes
Craig Davis, Chris Boardman, Serena Hibbett and Helen Chater from Bradgate Bakery are joining together to become BLT (Bradgate Lean Team) on Saturday 6 June to complete the 2009 Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge….
This is no mean feat… The challenge is a triathlon style event and involves a 14km hill walk, with a climb of over 1km, followed by an 11km Canoe and a challenging uphill Bike Ride of 30km. If that wasn’t enough, we finish with an abseil, which will certainly test our nerves!!
But it’s for a very worthy cause… Wishes 4 Kids….
This fantastic charity helps to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas, have suffered major abuse or are diagnosed as HIV Positive.
