About The Brainwave Centre Ltd
The Brainwave Centre includes a range of facilities including a programme room, hydrotherapy pool, cognitive suite, sensory room and external therapy area.
The charity’s team of therapists will prescribe appropriate exercises within these areas, dependant on the needs of the individual child.
Children present with various levels of developmental delay of both a physical and cognitive nature.
Families stay in one of three self contained bungalows on the Charity's site for the two day initial assessment and are invited to return at intervals of six months so their child can be reassessed.
Our history
The Charity was formed to ensure that parents and carers who wanted to take control of their disabled child's rehabilitation could be empowered to do so.
The Charity is complementary to mainstream services but with parents' permission will ensure that doctors and physiotherapistsare kept informed of the interventions being offered by Brainwave.
The Charity sends teams of therapists to Japan, Ireland and Finland to support children in those countries.
