Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am so honoured that so many of you have donated so generously for this noble cause. As you can clearly see I have exceeded my TARGET!!! I started running only last year and did my first ever 10k, in Leicester in honour of a good friend John White of HCPT. I then continued training with my neighbour and succeeded in entering for the Liverpool Run Cancer Research. I must let you all know that 10 years ago as a junior officer in the TA Territorial Army I was useless at running I could not go 5 cm without falling down in a big floppy heap!
As a consequence of being told one was not fit to be in the Army I trained a little more however no running was included till last year when I completed my first 10k. I was so proud of that achievement but never thought of a half marathon that is twice the distance.
My training has been okay not as perfect as I would have loved thanks to the support of all of you and many more. I hope to complete the journey not matter what.
I shall be easy to spot! my number is 34,071 and would be wearing a pink top nothing fancy I am afraid. Wave from the armchair and that would give me the extra push I need.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bradford Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for sponsoring me and helping me through the 13 mile run!
