Ok, so not wanting to be left out on the bike riding fun I have stupidly said that I will ride from London to Paris in June. When agreeing to it I originally thought:
a) It is not too far and because it's south it will be down hill all the way
b) Surely all the years riding around on my BMX as a kid means that I don't actually need to train
c) When entering Francewater bottles will be replaced with wine
Sadly it was only when I signed up that I found out that:
a) Second day is going to be mostly up hill
b) That my fellow bike riders are training (and there is some serious excel action going on for training plans)
c) Wine and bike riding long distances don't mix (I am still disputing this one)
So, I better take it seriously and start training (and buy a bike which has brakes that work).
I am funding the trip myself; therefore all the money forGreatOrmondStreetHospital will go direct to them. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please take pity on me....sponsor me for a good cause.
