Post Event Update

A huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored us, and we are still seeing some donations coming in. Peter completed the 13.1 miles in costume as a can of Spam in a respectable(ish) time of 2 hours and 2 minutes.

The support on the day from the crowd was fantastic, and the camaraderie with other runners raising for Charity was great. Thanks again to everyone for their generous donations to The Royal British Legion.

The Event

On 7th March 2010, BritishCornerShop.co.uk partners Mark Callaghan and Peter Howarth will be running the Bath Half Marathon in support of our charity The Royal British Legion. To make the 13.1 miles a little harder, they will be run in cumbersome food outfits (Spam!).

With many of our customers being forces families, we have long supported the The Royal British Legion and the excellent work that they do in providing help and welfare to the serving and ex-service community and their families. As a company we support many activities and charities which give back to our customers and the area local to our business, many thousand of pounds are raised annually.

We are hoping to raise £500 for The Royal British Legion, so any amount that you can support this effort with will be most appreciated. We have chosen JustGiving, as monies donated go direct to the charity and gift aid claims are organised for UK taxpayers.

Many Thanks,

Mark Callaghan
