On 26th April 2009 we ran the London Marathon in memory of Peter Brook. Together we are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Mind, a leading mental health charity that works to create a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress.

We are using the Marathon as a launch event for a campaign designed to raise awareness of mental health issues in the workplace. Our aim is to work in partnership and in support of leading organisations and initiatives including; ‘Time To Change’, ‘SHIFT’ and ‘The Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health’ – all of whom work to combat stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health and to promote mental wellbeing within our workplaces and lives.

The facts behind mental illness are astonishing: one in four of us will experience a mental health problem at some point in our lives; each year more than 250,000 people are admitted to psychiatric hospitals and over 4,000 people take their own lives. Mental health problems can affect anyone – with the impact not only on the individual but also families, friends and colleagues.

Fundraising has been incredibly successful - we have already received nearly £5,000 of sponsorship pledges offline and are aiming high to raise as much money as possible. We hope you will support us in our Marathon task, any contribution you can make will go a long way in supporting the great work of this vital charity.

Thank you!

Matt and Dave
