Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On 13th April I ran the London Marathon – the first marathon I have run for 8 years and, sadly, my last marathon as a sprightly forty-something! Despite apocalyptic weather conditions I managed to complete the course in an entirely creditable 5 hours, 37 minutes and 15 seconds. I ran in support of PARC, the Play and Resource Centre, a charity based in Braintree,Essex, of which I am proud to be a patron. There is a brief statement about what PARC does on this page but if you want to know more then take a look at http://www.parc-essex.org/ Georgina Rhymes and the whole team at PARC have put a colossal amount of effort into fundraising for the new building project and, of course, providing such a great service to all of the children and their families who already use the existing facilities. But don’t just take it from me.
