My personal message:

Hello and thank you for logging on to my sponsorship page! After retiring from a career of Marathon running last year I have a new challenge to “Run with the Bulls” at the San Fermin Fiesta, Pamplona in July. I know I will sweat more in this short course than the Marathon for sure............

 

I am doing the “encierro” to help raise funds for the CF Trust in their effort to help find a cure for CF, and because they have been a great support to my family. Our youngest Sam still continues to be an inspiration having 100% zest for life and overcoming all the physio, medication and hospital treatment that he goes through.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the 's only national charity working to fund research into a cure and to ensure appropriate clinical care and support for people with cystic fibrosis (CF). CF is the 's most common life-threatening inherited disease. It is caused by a defective gene, leading to a thick, sticky mucus that obstructs the airways, the digestive system and other organs, resulting in chronic infections and inflammation in the lungs and difficulty digesting food and nutrients. The average age of survival for those with CF is well below my age just now.
