Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As most of you will know, both of us are challenged in the facial hair department. The result of which is - despite our advancing years - an inability to grow a real moustache. As might be expected, this has led to disappointment and frustration, and more importantly, reluctance to to participate in the well known seasonal charity event 'Movember'.
This year, instead of sulking away in isolation during November, we have decided to embrace our lack of facial follicles by having South Wales' inaugural 'Bumfluff November'. As you might have guessed, this consists of a Bumfluff growing competition between us both. Aside from slowly progressing public humiliation, the aim of Bumfluff November is to raise money for LATCH - the Welsh Children's Cancer Charity. For details regarding LATCH, and how your donations will be used to support children (and their families) affected by cancer in Wales, please visit http://www.latchwales.org/
We will be posting the results of our efforts at the end of November for your viewing pleasure, and also to give you the opportunity to vote for who you think has grown the best Bumfluff out of the two of us. In the mean time, if the thought of pathetic wisps of hair adorning our otherwise unspoilt top lips brings a smile to your face, please take a moment to donate through our JustGiving page. Any and all donations are thoroughly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andrew & Simon
UPDATE
Not being ones to miss out on public humiliation, Dr Christopher Jeans and Mr Richard Addis have decided to join us in raising money for LATCH. Under the current international rules however, their impressive ability to cultivate facial hair makes them ineligible for Bumfluff November. As an alternative, Chris and Rich have proposed a handlebar moustache growing competition. So I'm pleased to say that you will be able to enjoy the results of not two, but FOUR muppets growing comedy facial hair for charity in November.
Thanks,
Andrew, Simon, Chris and Rich
