My friend Alan Hinton & I are taking part in a Bungee Jumping event in Middlesbrough on February 28 2010. We are doing this so that we can raise money for the charity Help For Heroes.
Both of us have been deeply saddened by what we have seen in the past few months in the media about the death and wounding of our soldiers in Afghanistan which made us want to do whatever we could to raise some money and do our little bit to help.
Soldiers by nature of their job, live with and face fear especially in a battle situation so Alan and I wanted to do something where we would feel fear ourselves as well as have to face it and so a Bungee Jump was decided on. We are paying for the costs of our individual jumps and all travel costs ourselves so that any money raised will go straight to Help For Heroes without any deductions.
