My story

Richie barker, Anthony Williams and Tom Walsh will cycle the full length of the Trans Pennine Trail on Sunday 06 May 2012, in order to raise money for Manchester Children's Hospital.

The Trans Pennine Trail starts at Southport, then heads south through the suburbs of Liverpool, through Widnes, Warrington, Stockport and Hadfield. It then crosses the Peak District, heading up the Longdendale valley via the Longdendale Trail to Woodhead, then down through Dunford Bridge and Penistone, Doncaster, Selby, Hessle, Hull and Hornsea. This route covers 207 miles (333.1 km).

The trio intend to raise as much as they can for this epic cross country cycle and are asking all Bury fans to donate to this worthy cause.

The three some are expected to take two days to complete the journey.Support for this mammoth trip comes in the shape of help and support from Leisure Lakes Bikes of Bury, who are donating time and maintenance to Richie and his staff over the trip.Supporters can find out more from www.leisurelakesbikes.com

Manager Richie Barker said this morning:'It's a massively important facility for the kids in the area and its something that we all feel strongly about.Any support from Bury supporters will be gratefully received and any donation helps, no matter how big or small."
