ROUND TABLE IN ANNUAL KARTING JOUST – THE FIRENZNET TROPHY

It is summer again, and BSE Round Table have challenged SELOC (South East Lotus Owners Club) to the what will hopefully become an Annual Karting Joust.  The 2008 event raised £2000 for a local charity and we hope to beat that this year.  SELOC will be looking to regain their honour and win the trophy back.

The event will be held on Saturday 19 September at Red Lodge Karting, and we will be supporting a very worthy charity – St Nicholas Hospice Care http://www.stnicholashospice.org.uk In these difficult times the Hospice needs every penny, as the running cost are immense. It takes £10,000 a day just to keep its doors open, and give the extraordinary levels of care they keep on delivering. Susan Long , Community Fundraiser for the Hospice says…..

St Nicholas Hospice Care is a wonderful community based charity that helps local people and families live with, and cope after, a terminal illness. The effects of a life threatening diagnosis on a family is shocking, but our trained staff including doctors and nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and counsellors will ensure that patients receive individualised care and support to the very end; and after death through our award winning children’s bereavement service and adult family supports service. All our care is free to patients and their families.

We do need your support to help finance our organisation which has annual running costs of 4.5 million a year. Please, please give something to support us by sponsoring this brilliant and fun go karting event and know that you are making a difference to someone who is very sick in your community.
