Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St Luke's Hospice (Basildon And District) Limited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

The Challenge is to complete the Coast to Coast off road route in 5 days. This 218 mile epic, crosses 3 National Parks and is based on the route made famous by Tim Woodcock, which has now become the "Holy Grail" of UK off-road tours. It starts at St Bees in Cumbria and finishes in Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire. The challenge requires us to complete an average of 43 miles per day, although on some days we will need to do considerably more.

The team consists of 6 enthusiastic Mountain Bikers who want to raise some money for a local charity and having close links with St Lukes Hospice in Basildon, we have set our sites on this epic crossing to raise as much money as we can to support such a whorthwhile organisation.

So please sponsor us now and wish us the best of luck.
