Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

2011 is the 25th anniversary of CAFOD's office opening in the North East. It is also the 50th anniversary of the organisation itself.

To celebrate, we're walking from Durham to Holy Island between July 1 and 9, 2011. Our core team of 12 walkers - including two people from Brazil and one from Kenya - will cover the 135-mile route in just nine days!

Along the way, we'll visit parishes and schools and other people will join us for a day or a session here and there. We're walking in solidarity with CAFOD partners overseas and to raise awareness of CAFOD's work in this double anniversary year.

But you can also donate to CAFOD.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you want to support the Big Walk, donate now.
