Help a London Child (HALC) was founded in 1975 by Lord Attenborough CBE, as Capital 95.8's charity to assist and give opportunities to thousands of London’s children and young people experiencing abuse, homelessness, disability, poverty and illness. Over the last 30 years the charity has raised in excess of £20 million and awarded that amount to over 10,000 small groups across the Capital, directly helping over 1 million children.

Our personal message:

Hello Everyone!

I am running in the Capital Help a London Child run on Sunday 20th July 2008 in Hyde Park, London. This is my very first run and I will be running a distance of 2.5k on one of the hottest days of the year!

Help a London child is a great charity which gives opportunities to disadvantaged children in London.

So dig deep and help me raise money for this great cause!
