Story
Please sponsor our Camel run round Reading to raise money to help educate Zambian Aids orphans.
What does a child need to go to school?
- Pens and books. It is a sad truth that many children do not go to school for want of a simple pen or pencil.
- A uniform. These are not officially compulsory but all school children in Zambia wear a uniform and they are crucial for an orphan's confidence. Without a uniform orphans will have to attend school in the only clothes they own - usually rags.
- Shoes. These are part of the uniform, and of extra importance to the many children who have to walk to school - some for an hour or more each way. We provide good strong shoes to children who need them.
- Fees. In Zambia, state schools charge fees at secondary level. There are also additional exam fees at certain grades.

Mike visited Zambia last year to see the great impact that Cecily's fund is having in the lives of aids orphans. Kids are being clothed, educated and given opportunities they would otherwise be denied. Sponsor Humphrey's dash run round Reading and make a real difference in someones life.
Ernst & Young will match all funds raised pound for pound. You give £20 and the Charity gets £40, now that's a great investment! What a great opportunity to give generously...
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cecily Eastwood Zambian Aids Orphans Appeal will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
