Histiocytosis Research Trust

Charity Registration No. 1004546

The main aim of the Histiocytosis Research Trust is to fund research and scientific study into the causes of Histiocytosis and the development of improved means for diagnosis and treatment. We also aim to provide information and support to families affected by Histiocytosis. We offer services such as our UK Family Roadshow Meetings (led by an expert or experts in LCH/HLH) and our Befriending Scheme where families can be matched to share experiences. We are therefore extremeley grateful for any contribution you are able to make.

My story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

Cameron Devenney was born Aug 2006.As the youngest of 4 children he was so adored by everyone.In Nov 2007 Cameron was diagnosed with a very rare blood disorder H/L/H.The only cure for this is Bone Marrow transplant which he recieved Jan 2008 donated by his 5 year old brother.Our amazing little boy fought bravely but lost his battle on the 22nd April 2008.His full story can be seen on the HRTrust website.

My fight now is to ensure parents have the right information and dont ever want parents to feel as isolated as we did so I am going to hold lots of fundraising events but my first it the Great North Run then just 3 weeks later I will be doing the Birmingham EDF half Marathon. I hope to raise as much as I can for the trust for lots of different things so would be very grateful for anything you can give.It all mounts up so please give what you can.Its a very good cause in memory of an amazing little guy My beautiful Son Cameron.xxx
