Story
The Ras Morbat Clinic was established in 1996 to provide primary health care for mothers and babies. Over the years the work expanded to include an emphasis on eye care and, in 2014, it was decided that this should become its primary focus.
The harsh sunlight characteristic of Yemen contributes to vision problems in children and especially older people, with the onset of glaucoma and cataract at younger ages than in more northern climates. The Ras Morbat Eye Clinic offers the full range of eye care to the poor, refugees and displaced people at greatly subsidised cost to the patient.
The Eye Clinic is supported almost entirely by donations - give the gift of sight to many by making a donation today.
