Story
The current New Milton Memorial Centre was built as a replacement to the old War Memorial Hall, which was built for the benefit of the people of New Milton on land purchased by public subscription in memory of those locals who lost their lives in the Great War. The old Hall sadly burnt down in 1978 and its replacement completed a few years later. It is owned by the Trustees of the Centre and run as a charity. We do get some small grants from the local Council on occasions but the majority of our income is from the events we hold and donations from our generous users. Due to the age of the building it is now in need of some serious TLC mainly a new roof. We need £100,000.00 to replace it completely. Over the years, we have had many repairs and now we have reached the stage where the there are just too many patches and our poor roof is in serious need of replacement.
Can you help?
Every donation is so much appreciated, doesn't matter how small, because every penny makes a difference.
