Story

We are East Kent Hospitals Charity. We are here to help your hospitals.

Our Tiny Toes campaign supports the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. These units are specially designed and equipped to care for poorly new-born babies.

The NICU is a specialist intensive care unit with 25 cots. They provide intensive care for new-born babies from across the region. The SCBU has 14 cots in total, including 2 high dependency.

Thanks to our amazing communities, we have been able to commit funding to numerous projects in recent years, such as refurbishment of parent accommodation, developmental aids for the babies on the unit, enhanced training for staff, and of course, providing Christmas stockings for the families, over the festive period.

Your support will ensure that we can continue to make a positive difference to families, babies and staff in the future.

Each Unit has a separate ‘fund’, so please let us know which Unit you would like to support with your donation, or fundraising page.
